Road Safety

It is imperative that children are kept safe and the road outside school is no exception.

We sadly, have had two collisions with cars and pedestrians, one being a young child, so we are adamant that it will not happen again. Therefore, we ask families to cross the road at the ‘pinch-point’ in Wheelers Lane .

Please do not park on double yellow lines, school markings or next to the ‘pinch point’ crossing as it stops children being visible to cars and it has caused near fatalities.

Parking enforcement and CCTV are used to ensure parking is safe.

We also ask that parents and carers hold their child’s hand to teach then how to cross the road safely and calmly, looking and listening for cars before stepping into the road.

Thank you for respecting our neighbours by not parking over driveways or in the Private Road ‘The Acorns’, or the Doctor’s Surgery.

Centenary Hall car park is available to parents, along with the rest of Wheelers Lane, which has no parking restrictions passed the ‘pinch-point’ crossing driving towards Broadbridge Lane.

Thank you for your continued support on this serious matter.
