    Our Pupil Parliament

    Democracy and Pupil Voice

At Burstow School, our Pupil Parliament plays an important role in shaping our school community. It is made up of one child elected from each class, giving every year group a voice and ensuring all pupils are represented.

Our Pupil Parliament members embody our school values of Love, Respect, Trust and Love and actively contribute to making our school a fantastic place to learn, grow, and thrive. They take on the responsibility of listening to the views and ideas of their peers, sharing them during regular meetings, and working together to make positive changes.

Through the Pupil Parliament, our students:

    • Help shape decisions about school improvements.
    • Represent their classmates' opinions.
    • Develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
    • Take pride in making a real difference to the school.

The Pupil Parliament empowers our children to take ownership of their school experience, showing them that their ideas and contributions matter.

By working closely with staff, they explore ways to make Burstow School even better, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
