At Burstow Primary School, we provide an engaging and ambitious Computing curriculum that develops children’s confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills in an increasingly digital world. Through a range of practical and purposeful experiences, pupils learn how to use technology effectively, create digital content, understand computer systems, and develop computational thinking. We encourage children to explore, question, and solve problems, developing their understanding of how technology can be used to communicate, create, and make a positive difference in the world around them.

As pupils progress through the school, they build on their technical knowledge and digital skills, learning to use technology safely, responsibly, and creatively. They develop an understanding of programming, algorithms, networks, data, and digital media, while also learning how to recognise potential risks and make informed choices online. By the time they leave Burstow, every child will have developed the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly, while seeing themselves as capable creators and problem solvers.
