  • Anti-Racism

We are an Anti-Racist School, and we use Anti-Racism Education (ARE).

    Why is anti-racism important?

    • Active Anti-Racism: The goal isn't merely “not being racist,” but rather actively opposing racism—stepping beyond complacency to become advocates for equality

    • From Fear to Growth: Adults and children often start in the Fear Zone—perhaps denying racism, avoiding tough conversations. Through learning, they recognize systemic racism and reflect on their own perspectives. Ultimately, in the Growth Zone, they speak up, educate others, and advocate for systemic change

    Links to our Values

We counter racism with empathy, care, and affirmation of every person’s worth.

We build safe spaces where students and staff can discuss race openly.

We acknowledge and honour diverse identities and experiences.

We encourage questioning, self-reflection, learning about difference—key to moving through fear into growth.
