Burstow has achieved Healthy School Status. The National Healthy Schools Programme is an exciting long term initiative that helps young people and their schools to be healthy. The Programme isn’t just about physical health, it’s about good health and happiness inside and out. And it’s not just about pupils either; a Healthy School involves the whole school community – from parents to governors to school staff – in improving their health and their happiness and getting the most out of life.

Burstow has gained the International School Award which recognises good practice in international work in schools. We have gained Intermediate Stage and are looking forward to gaining full status soon!

Burstow is a member of the extended federation of schools, the Horley Learning Partnership, and is able to offer many extended facilities for our children and their families.

 Burstow School have joined the Get Set network which means that our children will have the opportunity to get involved in the excitement of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games through the official London education programme and the school will gain access to exclusive rewards and opportunities.

Burstow have achieved this award because at least 90% of pupils across the school are doing at least 2 hours of high quality PE and school sport a week.
